Orangetheory Fitness 60-minute group sessions are made up of cardio and strength training exercises including treadmill training, indoor rowing machines, TRX suspension training, weight training blocks, and floor exercises.

During your session, you will wear a heart rate monitor to measure your personal progress. These stats display wirelessly on video screens around the studio to let your trainer know how you are doing, and it is a great way to help keep yourself accountable during the workout. Our gym sessions have been designed to keep your heart rate within a targeted zone, and when you are able to get within this range, your metabolism is boosted and your energy is increased. This also results in what we call the Orange Effect – meaning increased energy and extra calories burned for 24-36 hours after your workout.

WHAT DO YOU BURN FOR?

My sanity! Orangetheory is MY 1 hour of the day to help calm my crazy life. Not only is OTF good for the body, but it's great for the mind and soul, too.


WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?

I have a major sweet tooth for baked goods and Reese's. Really, anything peanut butter.


WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OTF EXERCISE?

The water rower! Thanks to the help of our awesome coaches, I've learned to be a strong rower, so it's always a competition with myself every time I strap in to the seat. I'm also a fan of 30 second all outs on the treadmill.

Group fitness instructor and personal trainer and lover of all things fitness for over 16 years. Certifications: AFAA, Cooper Institute, Indoor cycling, Les Mills Bodypump and CXWorx, Tabata Bootcamp, Glide, Jillian Michaels BodyShred as well as other smaller certifications received at fitness conferences and worships. WHAT DO YOU BURN FOR? My family, health, happiness and my guilty pleasure. WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE? Cupcakes with cream cheese icing and coconut shrimp WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OTF EXERCISE? Carrie fell in love with fitness and competition while on the High School dance team in Chicago. She has participated in 11 Half Marathons and various other races across the country in the past 6 years; most memorable being the St. Jude Half Marathon, raising money for the families affected by childhood cancer. She began her fitness career in 2012 as an ACE certified Personal Trainer and group fitness instructor on the Gulf Coast of Alabama.  Carrie relocated to the DFW area in 2014 and became a founding member of the OTF Colleyville studio.  She quickly learned how fun and effective the OTF work out is and acquired an immediate interest in becoming a part of the OTF team. Carrie has been a Coach at the Keller studio since opening day in May 2015, and the Head Coach since September 2015. She fully believes in the science behind the OTF brand and bleeds ORANGE!!   WHAT DO YOU BURN FOR? Food, Food... Oh, and more FOOD!   WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE? Chips and guacamole   WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OTF EXERCISE? Anything AB DOLLY!  I love working my core!

HEART MONITORED TRAINING

 

Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our heart-rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per workout. We are 5 zone heart-rate interval training.

Working out in a group provides accountability and structure to help achieve fitness goals. You are more likely to get a great workout and better results from the well-rounded movements and pace direction you get in a group setting. The session motivates each other to pick up the pace and reach beyond plateaus. People who workout in groups stick to their goals more consistently than those that workout alone.
